What are Bi-Directional Discs?

Bi-Directional Discs are pipeline pigging components made of high-strength polyurethane or elastomer, designed to provide a tight seal against the internal wall of a pipeline.Unlike unidirectional cups, these discs are engineered to function in both forward and reverse directions, making them highly versatile in pigging operations.
They are commonly mounted on mandrel-bodied pigs and are essential for sealing, cleaning, batching, and separating products inside oil, gas, water, and chemical pipelines.
