What are Filming Pigs?
Filming Pigs are specialized pipeline pigging tools designed to apply a thin protective or lubricant coating inside pipelines. Unlike cleaning or maintenance pigs, which remove deposits, filming pigs are used to deposit a layer of protective fluid, chemical inhibitor, or lubricant on the internal pipeline surface.
They are usually made of polyurethane, rubber, or other elastomers, mounted on a mandrel or solid pig body, and are often used in oil, gas, water, and chemical pipelines where corrosion prevention or lubrication is required.
